What is Coaching?

Coaching is a process of discovery.  Through powerful listening and penetrating questions, clients learn what is important to them.  The coach assists with action planning and creates accountability.

At all times, the coach holds the client as capable, competent, and the only person who knows how to best manage their own career, life and their dreams.

Coaching is not counselling.  Where deep past wounds are a barrier to good mental health, a trained psychologist is better suited than a coach to assist in this healing.

A coach is forward-looking and action-oriented.  If you want to achieve specific goals, whether they are very short-term or over a life time, a coach can help you attain what you really want.

Coaching is not consulting.  Although every coach has expertise in one or more subject matters, a coach generally avoids telling a client what is best.  Naturally a coach shares observations and life experiences, but only as a means to provoke the client's own powerful learning.  The coach maintains that the client is the expert about their life!

Being coached is fun, energizing, and a creative process that is a proven method for driving results - fast!

Sessions can be in-person, by phone, Skype, or FaceTime.  Typically a coach and client agree to work together for at least 3 months, meeting approximately every two weeks, for up to one hour per session.
